There is no charge for an initial conversation and no obligation to proceed. You only pay anything once you choose to go ahead with a mortgage application.
The broker fee
If I arrange a mortgage for you, a broker fee is payable on mortgage offer. My fee is typically £395. This may vary depending on the complexity of your case and will always be confirmed and agreed with you in writing before any application is submitted. You will never be surprised by a charge you weren't expecting.
Commission from the lender
In addition to the broker fee, I receive a procuration fee from the lender on completion of your mortgage. This is paid by the lender, not by you, and is standard practice across the mortgage industry.
Protection and insurance
For protection and buildings and contents insurance, I receive commission from the provider. There is no separate fee charged to you for this advice
